DCIS is established in 1971. In 2014, DCIS became part of the Nord Anglia Education family of schools. It enjoys an elite reputation with an emphasis on old school English education.

Located in the South West on Dover Road, DCIS is just minutes away from Buona Vista MRT, 15 minutes from the CBD and 25 minutes from the airport.
Lower Primary School (3 to 7 years): Early Years English National Curriculum Upper Primary School (7 to 11 years): English National Curriculum Secondary School (11-17 years):English National Curriculum + International General Certificate of Secondary Education *DCIS currently does not offer a sixth form programme but plans to open a sixth form for years 12 and 13 in the coming years.

Stretched over 14 acres, DCIS offers a swimming pool complex, six-lane running track, full-size soccer pitch, basketball courts, extensive playing fields and indoor multi-purpose halls as part of its sports facilties. Non-sports facilities include libraries, computer rooms, music hall, science facilties (TV Studio, Radio Station, Robotics Lab, iPads and Touch Screen computers) and special needs areas.

DCIS offers assisted learning to children with special needs from ages 6 to 18 years under the Department of Supportive Education. DCIS offers additional English learning support to students for whom English is not their first language as part of the Second Language program. DCIS is the only school in Singapore that offers an arts curriculum created in collaboration with the Juilliard School.
